Pastor Lamb’s sermon replay 6-14-2020

Good morning! Peace be with you. Due to unforeseen circumstances our worship today consists of a sermon offered by Pastor Matt Lamb last June. The sermon asked the question, “If people don’t welcome the good news of Jesus should we call down fire to consume them?” The sermon is drawn from the story of Jesus according to Luke 9:51-62.

Please remember in your prayers this week Ken Mills, Britt Hill, Delpha Johnson, Alan Chick, and Rick McDowell.

God bless you this week!

Bishop Rev. Katherine Finegan 4-19-2020

Good morning! Pastor Lamb and St. James Lutheran have invited Rev. Katherine Finegan, Bishop of our Northern Great Lakes Synod, to offer the sermon for this 2nd Sunday of the season of Easter. Here is her sermon and today’s reading from the gospel of John. Bishop Finegan offers a new perspective on the apostle Thomas who had to “see” before believing.

Thanks giving to our Lord for Pastor Lamb, our church leaders and congregation.

We praise You, O Lord, for welcoming us through the words of all those who bring to us the Good News of Your love. Place that faith-creating Word on our lips, that we may speak to those who have not yet heard or believed. Amen. He is Risen ! Alleluia!
